Guided Aonach Eagach Traverse

Dominating the skyline on your right as you drive down through Glencoe, the Aonach Eagach ridge is one of the most picturesque ridges in Scotland.

We start with an ascent of Am Bodach, a steep but steady walk up to 943m and then the scrambling begins. With both down-climbing and traversing the Aonach Eagach is exciting the whole way across. Our instructors will help keep you safe by having you on a rope where necessary and letting you enjoy the whole ridge feeling safe.

Join one of our experienced instructors for a trip across this breathtaking ridge and it will be a day you won't forget for a long time.

We can take 2 people to one Aonach Eagach guide which allows you to share the adventure with a friend or partner and all of your safety equipment for the day is provided.

A reasonable level of fitness is required for the day as well as a head for heights, the Aonach Eagach is exposed in places, especially across the pinnacles. Luckily our scrambling guides know the ridge well and can help you across the tricky bits.

We will provide harnesses and helmets for each person as well as the ropes and climbing gear needed. If you need anything else like mountain rucksacks, walking poles, dry bags etc then these can be hired from Scottish Mountain Hire our partner company.
